S-Day minus 12. The blog is up and running and ready to record our epic, retro road trip from Melbourne to Sydney via the east coast, over the Great Dividing Range (GDR) to the nation's capital and further west to the wine country of Orange and Mudgee and back over the GDR to Sydney and the Hunter Valley. Lady P has set a target of 10,000 steps per day and if not reached there will be limits imposed on Flashy's consumption of beverages.

Tuesday 13 th April The local laundromat was in Flashy’s sights today as he seems to generate an awful lot of laundry. Not that he is particularly dirty, just that he probably hasn’t quite figured out how to be as economical with his attire as Lady Penelope. It was one load, three pairs of knickers, one pair of jeans and two tops for Lady P and the rest was Flashy’s – jeans, shirts, jocks, socks – it was never ending but he happily sat in the laundromat with a very nice coffee made by the quiet young lady next door – there are other adjectives to describe quiet but they may not be appropriate. Lady P meanwhile worked on some travel arrangements, inserted images in the blog and spoke to NZ amongst other things.
